Forecasters: This winter's weather is anyone's guessThis article is about the dry weather that is going to occur in winter this year. Forecasters say that it appears the Southern California will be affected by a weak El Nino. There is a 33% chance that we will get lots of rain and another 33% of below-average rain and then another 33% that the weather will be normal as well. Anything could possibly happen this winter, however our temperatures have raised quite a bit during August and September. I chose this article because weather is always a big issue in San Diego, because we are a chaparral biome we do not receive that much rain throughout the year and it is often dry. It relates to our lesson of climatograms and the factors that affect the climate; temperature and precipitation.
